The Maryland Department of Labor partnered with the Maryland Chamber of Commerce to host a free informational webinar for employers looking for a better understanding of the state’s Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) Program.

During the webinar, Department of Labor staff discussed the planned implementation of this program, cost sharing and total rate of contribution, eligibility, benefit amounts and more.

We are compiling all of the great questions asked during the webinar to share them with the Department of Labor. We will use your questions and the Department's answers to create an info sheet that will be shared with attendees and on our website.

Feedback Needed: Share your thoughts on FAMLI in Maryland by November 17

The Maryland Department of Labor's Division on Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI), in collaboration with U.S. Digital Response, is conducting a research study to understand businesses' unique needs and potential challenges presented by the forthcoming paid family and medical leave insurance program. This research will assist in the development of a new software designed to support Maryland’s new paid family and medical leave insurance system, ensuring it is user-friendly, effective and tailored to employer needs.

The Department invites your feedback by November 17. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete. If selected, respondents may be invited for a 30-minute interview to further discuss their insights.
