National Civics Bee®: Maryland State Finals
Organized in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s The Civic Trust and supported by local chambers of commerce across Maryland, the National Civics Bee®: Maryland State Finals is an annual competition that encourages middle school students from public, private, charter and home schools to engage in civics, contribute to their communities and flex their civics knowledge for a chance to win recognition and cash prizes. The Maryland Chamber Foundation will host the National Civics Bee®: Maryland State Finals competition on June 26, 2026 at the United States Naval Academy.

Keynote Speaker & Judge: Deputy Secretary Jimmy Anderson, Maryland Department of Veterans and Military Families
Dep. Sec. Anderson began his career as an enlisted Airman, serving over 15 years in uniform on active duty and in the reserve in tactical, operational and staff roles across the Air Force Intelligence enterprise. He has lived and served across the country, but is proud to call Maryland home.
