A Turning Point for Maryland, and We’re Just Getting Started
Dec 22, 2025
To Maryland’s Business Leaders,
This past year was a turning point. Maryland’s business community showed up — consistently, strategically and with one clear message: our voices matter. And because of your partnership, lawmakers listened intently.
We pushed back on proposals that would have increased costs or added new layers of complexity. We elevated workable solutions. And we made sure decision-makers understood exactly how their choices impact the people who create jobs and keep Maryland running. We also hosted important conversations with lawmakers and business leaders, including our Policy Forum for Maryland's Future last month. Watch the recap.
As we head into 2026, staying on the sidelines is not an option. Too many big decisions are coming, and they will absolutely affect your business.
Advocacy starts with your story. A quick conversation with a legislator, an email about how a policy would affect your workforce, or a few minutes on a call — those real-world insights carry weight that no report or statistic ever could. It’s time for legislators to stop treating employers like ATMs, and that shift only happens when they hear from you.
Thank you for trusting us to be your partner and your voice in Annapolis. We showed up in force this year, and we’re not slowing down. Together, we’re ensuring Maryland’s business community cannot — and will not — be ignored.
We’re honored to fight for you — and fight with you.
Wishing you and your families a joyful holiday season and a strong start to the new year. We can’t wait to see you in 2026.
Sincerely,

Mary D. Kane
