While many of us dread filling out piles of paperwork, Steve Edwards was full of nervous excitement as he scribbled his signature on the dotted line. As he dated the official papers, June 6, 1997, Edwards Industries was born.

Hanover, Md. – The Alzheimer’s Association President and CEO Harry Johns and the Greater Maryland Chapter honored Dr. Ellen H. Yankellow, President and CEO of Correct Rx Pharmacy Services, Inc. at the 10th Annual Memory Ball by presenting her with the 2016 Exemplary Leadership Award.

MGM National Harbor, gearing up to open during the 4th quarter of 2016, is holding Table Game/Dealer School classes through Prince George's Community College.  Poker School classes are set to begin June 27th (Monday-Thursday); Dealer School classes are set to begin July 11th.

BEL AIR, MD  – After two years as Director of Membership and Operations, Angela Rose has accepted a new role. Rose will take over the role of president and chief executive officer of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce. She started May 16.

Melanie Pursel, Executive Director of the Greater Ocean City Chamber of Commerce, was named Maryland Chamber Executive of the Year on Thursday, May 12, 2016.  The award is presented annually by the Maryland Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (MACCE), a professional development organization of 35 local chamber leaders in the state.
