Maryland Chamber events provide outstanding opportunities to network with high level executives, business owners, legislators, and policy makers from throughout the state. From networking events and awards programs to informative seminars and interactive forums dealing with the latest business topics, these events are the perfect place for business people to exchange ideas, build strong business relationships and do business.

Major Events
Business Day in Annapolis in January connects business leaders to the decision makers in Annapolis. Business people from across the state come to Annapolis to promote the Business Agenda, visit their lawmakers, and hear from the Governor and the General Assembly’s Democratic and Republican leaders.

Maryland Congressional Delegation Dinner in February connects Maryland business leaders to their representatives in Washington. During this town hall meeting-style event, Maryland’s congressional delegation and Maryland Chamber members discuss important federal business issues.

Annual Membership Meeting and Business Hall of Fame Awards Dinner in the spring is the Chamber’s largest networking event of the year, attracting the region’s top decision makers. In addition, the Chamber honors the accomplishments of select business executives and entrepreneurs by inducting them into the Maryland Business Hall of Fame.

Small Business of the Year Awards Luncheon in June recognizes the dedication, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit displayed by Maryland employers with 200 or fewer employees. Held each June, this event features networking opportunities, a small business trade show and the Small Business of the Year Awards program.

Business Policy Conference in the fall is the premier business-related public policy conference in the state. Attendees gain a greater understanding of public policy issues that affect the state’s business community through a series of keynote speakers and issue workshops featuring expert panelists.

Other Events

Chamber 101 is a quarterly event that brings business people together to network and learn more about the Maryland Chamber. It's a great event for prospective Maryland Chamber members and existing members who want to learn how to get the most out of their membership.

BDC on the Road: A series of events designed to connect small and minority-owned business leaders with top executives and purchasing representatives from the Chamber's largest member companies.

Regional Meetings: Throughout the year the Maryland Chamber comes to you, holding regional meetings at locations across the state to bring together business leaders to network and discuss the economic and legislative issues that impact Maryland business.

Committees
Participating in Maryland Chamber committees is a great way to get involved, advocate for your business, exchange ideas and build a strong list of business contacts.

Business Development Council: Helps members grow their businesses through opportunities to network and develop stronger business skills through education and business resource connections.

Membership Committee: Establishes new and retained membership goals and develops strategic plans, including membership campaigns, to achieve them. Also develops membership services, benefits and events to meet members needs and interests.

Marketing Committee: Develops marketing strategies to increase awareness of the Maryland Chamber, its advocacy program and membership growth efforts.

Finance Committee: Reviews financial and audit materials of the Chamber and works with state to ensure sound financial management practices.

Legislative Committee: Meets weekly during the General Assembly session to develop positions on legislation affecting the business community. (Invitation Only)

Public Policy Committees: The Chamber's subject matter committees bring a wealth of expertise and experience to the Chamber's legislative efforts. These committees help guide the Chamber's advocacy efforts and develop the Business Agenda.
