Position Summary: This bill provides for another exemption to the UI tax. The Maryland Chamber is not in favor of exempting specific employees from UI tax, b/c no payroll tax will be paid on those individuals, which ultimately impacts the trust fund.

For this reason, the Maryland Chamber opposes this legislation.
