Position
Summary: The bill contains indexing, and the Chamber is opposed to indexing, as the first tier has always been at a fixed amount since it was established 20 years ago. These awards are for cases with little to no time lost from work, where the worker is continuing to work the same job, at the same salary. Unless the indexing portion is taken out of the bill, the Maryland Chamber of Commerce opposes this bill.
